Autism Center at Orphan Welfare Society is organizing an awareness lecture about autism on March 14th at Hajj Hasan Makkawi Hall (Saida Generation School) at 05:00 p.m. The session is one of the various activities that OWS is organizing in its Autism Awareness Campaign. The aim of the lecture is to explain what is autism, its symptoms, and how to deal with an autistic child. Dr. Mohammad Bitar, a neurologist, will take part in this session along with the speech and psychomotor therapists at the autistic center. Also, one of the mothers who has an autistic child at the center will give a testimony about her experience with her child.

The attendees were the teaching team at Saida Generation School, Ahmad Mosbah Bizri Center for Special Needs, School for the Orientation and Rehabilitation of the Deaf, Autism Center and the Vocational Training School in the presence of President Dr. Said Makkaoui and the departments’ heads. Orphan Welfare Society held a dinner for the teaching team, on the occasion of Teacher’s Day. The attendees were the teaching team at Saida Generation School, Ahmad Mosbah Bizri Center for Special Needs, School for the Orientation and Rehabilitation of the Deaf, Autism Center and the Vocational Training School in the presence of President Dr. Said Makkaoui and the departments’ heads. The dietary provision department and the students of the culinary class at the Vocational School prepared the dinner under the supervision of their teachers, while the photography students took the photos.
