History

Sidon Orphan Welfare Society, a Lebanese non-governmental and non-profit organization, was founded in 1952 by a group of philanthropists from Saida. Their main aim was to provide suitable shelter and accommodation for orphans and vulnerable children after World War II.

Today, with the help of loyal and generous donors, the organization has succeeded in expanding its operations to offer comprehensive welfare services including basic shelter and accommodation, education, vocational training, rehabilitation for special needs, physical and medical treatments, specialized social and psychological care and other support services to over 1000 children.
