Orphan Welfare Society- Saida organized an awareness-raising entertainment event at The Spot Mall - Saida as part of its ongoing Autism Awareness Campaign which was launched a month ago. Former Mr. Lebanon and Lebanese actor, Wissam Hanna, made a special appearance at the event during which he expressed his great delight in supporting such a campaign. The event started with a game show, in collaboration with media presenter Ms. Dina Attallah and Radio Orient’s Hadith Al Janoob program. Ms. Attallah asked the audience questions about autism and prizes were awarded to the winners. In addition, the team at The Center for Children with Autism explained to the audience the importance of spreading awareness to help the autistic child. Spectacular entertainment shows charmed the gathering audiences. The show started with a dance by Plie Dance Club, a parade by Qanz, and a performance by the students of Ahmad Mosbah Bizri Center for Special Needs. Finally, music band Ourjouan performed popular Arabic songs loved by all of us.
The Spot Mall - Saida was lit up in blue in support of Autism Awareness Day which is a global event where organizations and iconic landmarks all over the world light up in blue in recognition of autism and in support of children with this condition.
