OWS Annual Sohour & Children’s Choral Amazed the Audience

The Ladies Committee (Sadikat El-Dar) at Orphan Welfare Society organized their annual sohour in the newly revamped Dar garden which embraced over 450 invitees and supporters from Saida and other Lebanese areas. MP Fouad Sanioura, PM Mrs. Bahia Hariri, Dr. Abdul Rahman Bizri and Mayor Eng. Mohammad Saudi attended the sohour in support of OWS.

The event began with a show by OWS children (SGS students and our students from the Schools for Special Needs and for the Deaf) inspired by Ramadan traditions. SGS newly formed singing club then sang special  Ramadan songs which highlighted their talents.

The program of the evening also included a tombola draw which included expensive gifts ranging from travel tickets to laptops all donated by generous businesses around the Saida and Beirut. Attendees then enjoyed the delicious traditional sohour dishes food. The audience was also pleasantly entertained by the delightful songs and oud of the rising musician Adnan Najjar.

It is worth mentioning that all the sohour proceeds will go to support the education of the students at the Autism Center.

Children are likely to live up to what you believe of them
