In collaboration with Hammoud Hospital UMC and the Rotaract Club of Saida, Orphan Welfare Society held a breast cancer awareness day for OWS students’ mothers and the public. The ladies who attended got the opportunity to be checked by specialist doctors who taught them how to check themselves regularly at home as well as giving them other valuable related advice. Participants also met with a team of nutritionists who informed them about the different kinds of food that can help protect them from cancer. The campaign also included a presentation on the importance of early detection. Finally each participant received a free mammography at Hammoud Hospital UMC as well as the emblematic pink ribbon.
