Special Olympics 2015

The Lebanese Special Olympics committee  organized a sports day at Orphan Welfare Society under the supervision of the International Special Olympics for Middle East and North Africa. Around 200 athletes from different NGOs competed in various sports contests.

 As the president of OWS, Dr. Said El-Makkaoui, said addressing the audience at the event, “Children with special needs are becoming an active and productive force in our society; they have succeeded in both the work field and in sports. This event is a chance for the athletes to show their abilities”.
