A group of Lebanese American University students visited Orphan Welfare Society children on the occasion of the conclusion of the project "We Care" which is a university scholarship program USP and financed by USAID.
The students began their day with the children where they divided into two groups, the first group helped the children while they were studying for the final exams especially in science and mathematics. The second group arranged academic and entertainment activities.
The closing ceremony was held at OLA center in Saida. Dr. Elie Samia, the director of the We Care project, Dr. Said El- Makkaoui, president of Orphan Welfare Society attended the ceremony in addition to representatives from the Hariri Foundation.
Dr. Samia commended the initiative of the students and their interest in the children of Orphan Welfare Society and praised the pastoral role played by the distinguished organization in Saida and South area. In turn, Dr. El-Makkaoui , thanked Dr. Samia, students of the Lebanese American University and the Hariri Foundation , headed by MP Bahia Hariri , and stressed the importance of voluntary initiative , which assist the organization, particularly in the field of children's education and develop their abilities.
At the end of the ceremony, certificates were distributed to all children, students and presented a set of educational games for children.
